Coach Mike.

One-on-one career mentorship from someone who's spent fifteen-plus years leading engineering organizations at large enterprises — and still sits down, one person at a time.

About Mike

Mike — Treadwell career mentor
Coach Mike — Treadwell career mentor.

Fifteen-plus years leading Shared Services and engineering organizations — DevOps, UX, release management, and the cloud platforms underneath them — across large SaaS, healthcare-adjacent, and enterprise IT companies. Global teams. Multi-million dollar budgets. The unglamorous work of keeping them all pointed in the same direction.

Long before Treadwell, the mentoring was already happening. Interns landing their first full-time role. Engineers working through a promotion or a layoff. People stepping into a new country and a new career at the same time. The same habit, formalized: one-on-one, evidence-based, and grounded in team psychology.

The work I enjoy most is the messy one. A visa strategy that has to make sense by Friday. The internal move where the politics is the actual decision. The first step into a skilled trade when no one in your family has walked that path. Outside the practice, I teach graduate-level Project Management as an adjunct professor at a university — a job that keeps me honest about how to teach the thing I also do.

Why one-on-one.

“I do this one-on-one because that's where real progress happens.”

If you have a hard conversation ahead of you, that's what the first call is for.
